Costume Gala @ the Met Top 10

Posted in Fashion, News, Shiz I Love by Virgil Sparks on May 6, 2009

The famous Costume Gala at the Met in NYC has long been thought of as the Oscars of fashion. Come with me as I rate my top Ten looks from this years red carpet.

10. First up, we have our number 10 spot with Mila Jovovich. She looks fresh, cute and incredibly done up in this Marni mini.

9. My next favorite is miss Ashley Olsen. She looks chicly divine in this long sleeved gown by her own sister’s label. All in the family!

8.  The number 8 spot is awarded to a set of four fabulous women, but Liv Tyler in particular looks fabulous to me, though I LOVE LOVE LOVE Stella McCartney in her jumpsuit… because well, I love jumpsuits who created all four looks in the photo.

7.  Iman looks absolutely fantastic in this strapless Donna Karan, here is a women who knows how to dress for both her body, and age. 😉

6. The one women who picked out the only good dress from both of Marc Jacobs’ Fall design ventures is Anne Hathaway.  Some people may hate on the hair, but I think she looks fabulous.

5. We start off the top 5 with Jessica Biel, she looks surprisingly stunning in this Atelier Versace gown, though I still think she and Mr. Timberlake don’t look stunning together.

4. Rhianna looks absolutely AMAZING in this Dolce & Gabbana ensemble. After the AAU fashion show I think we all know how I feel about giant leg-o-mutton sleeves.

3. Kicking off the top three, we have Kate Beckinsale in this gorgeous Marchesca gown. Bigger is better.

2. And when it comes to being big, a pregnant Heidi Klum looks AMAZING in this J. Mendel creation. I wish I had made this dress! *swoon*

1. Finally, my favorite look of the evening was worn by one Ivanka Trump. Thank God she inherited her mothers fabulous style and looks! This Brian Reyes creation has a slight Lanvin Fall ’09 feel which makes me probably love it even more than I already did. I would love to dress her, if you need ANYTHING Ms. Trump, I’m just a couple of mouse clicks away. 😉
